Protocols of the Elders of Zion

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion was written in 1903 in Russia as anti-Semitic propaganda.  By the time of the Russian Revolution it was also used as anti-Communist propaganda, due to the fact that several high ranking Bolsheviks were Jews before they were Communists.  With the mass exodus of people fleeing to the West after the Revolution, the Protocols came with them.  By 1919, the Protocols reached America.  Hitler would draw on the Protocols for his 1925 book Mein Kampf,
"... To what extent the whole existence of this people is based on a continuous lie is shown incomparably by the Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion, so infinitely hated by the Jews. They are based on a forgery, the Frankfurter Zeitung moans and screams once every week: the best proof that they are authentic. [...] the important thing is that with positively terrifying certainty they reveal the nature and activity of the Jewish people and expose their inner contexts as well as their ultimate final aims."  Hitler would draw inspiration from this Protocols to implement his "Final Solution" to the "Jewish Question".
Although the Protocols are not the one and only direct inspiration behind Hitler's plans, its publication spread anti-Semitism in the early 20th Century and its connection to Communism makes it even harder to ignore as one of the causes, whether direct or indirect, of World War II.

The War to End All Wars

Everyone knows how World War II ended.  Everyone knows why the United States entered World War II.  But not everyone knows the exact reasons why the war started.  The deep seeds of conflict that were planted in the forty years prior to the war.  This blog will be used to discuss issues from theProtocols of the Elders of Zion to tariffs placed on Japan by the United States.
